Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that building a custom chicken coop or choosing the right one for your needs can raise a lot of questions. Below are some of the most common inquiries we receive. If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly. We’re here to help!

  • What is the process for ordering a custom chicken coop?
The process is simple! First, we’ll schedule a consultation to discuss your needs, preferences, and the size of your backyard. You can choose from one of our pre-designed coops or we can work together to create something unique. Once the design is finalized, we’ll provide you with a quote, and we’ll begin construction. After your coop is built, we’ll arrange delivery and set up at your location.
  • How long does it take to build and deliver a custom chicken coop?
The time it takes to build and deliver a custom chicken coop depends on the size and complexity of the design. On average, it takes about 4-6 weeks for construction. Delivery times vary based on location, but we strive to make the process as smooth and timely as possible. If you have a specific deadline in mind, let us know, and we’ll do our best to accommodate it.
  • Can I customize the color and design of my coop?
Absolutely! We offer full customization for all our coops, from the design layout to the color of the paint. We work with Sherwin Williams to ensure you can match your coop to your house or other structures on your property. You can also choose roof colors, additional features like windows or ventilation, and any special additions you want included.
  • Do you provide delivery and setup for the coops?
Yes! We offer delivery of all our custom-built coops. Depending on your location, delivery fees may vary. Our team will handle all aspects of the delivery and setup to ensure your coop is securely placed and ready for your chickens to move in.
  • What materials are used in the construction of the coops?
We use only high-quality, durable materials to ensure that your chicken coop lasts for years. This includes weather-resistant wood, metal roofing, and sturdy framing. We also offer features such as secure locks, easy-access doors, and ample ventilation to ensure your chickens have the best living environment.
  • How do I care for my chicken coop?
Keeping your chicken coop in great condition is simple with just a little regular maintenance. We recommend cleaning your coop regularly, especially the nesting boxes and roosting areas, to ensure a hygienic environment for your chickens. Periodically check the structure for wear and tear, and make sure that the paint and roofing remain in good condition. We provide maintenance tips with every coop to help you keep it looking and functioning its best.
  • Can I see a coop before I buy it?
We offer appointments for you to view our coops before making a decision. Due to the custom nature of our builds, many coops are created upon order. However, we’re happy to schedule an appointment to show you some of our completed coops or design samples.
  • How much do chicken coops cost?
The cost of a chicken coop depends on several factors, including the size, design, customization options, and additional features you choose. Pre-designed coops are typically more affordable, while custom builds will vary based on complexity. We’ll provide you with a detailed quote after our initial consultation, and we work with you to create a solution that fits your budget.
  • Do you build coops for other animals besides chickens?
Yes! While we specialize in chicken coops, we also build structures for other animals, such as goats, ducks, and rabbits. If you have specific needs for a different type of animal structure, we’d be happy to discuss your project and create a custom solution.
  • Do you offer any warranties on the coops?
Yes, we stand by the quality of our work. All of our coops come with a warranty to ensure you are satisfied with your purchase. Our team is dedicated to providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns you may have after your coop is delivered.
